Seattle is the largest city in the state of Washington and the Pacific Northwest Region. The city is surrounded by beautiful bodies of water, the Puget Sound (inlet of the Pacific Ocean) and Lake Washington. Along with water views, mountain views in the distant consist of the Olympic Range to the west of Puget Sound and the Cascade Range to the East. Seattle’s economy is driven by both older industrial companies and newer internet and tech companies. Five companies on the 2017 Fortune 500 list of the United States’ largest companies, based on total revenue are headquartered here. Amazon, Starbucks and Nordstrom to name a few.
